Vauxhall Zafira Review

The Vauxhall Zafira is a safe and predictable vehicle that does little to excite. The interior is nothing special either, the dash is button heavy and plastics look shiny and cheap although driving is made easier with a high mounted gearstick. Wind and engine noise gradually gets louder at speed and the suspension isn't the greatest for smooth rides. The driving position in the Zafira feels confined and the thick windscreen pillars obstruct the view. The seats are supportive and firm and allow plenty of leg and head room although the 3rd row may find the space claustrophobic. The middle row of seats is a sliding bench which limits versatility and access to the back row is tight so you would have to slide the middle row forwards every time someone wants to get into the 3rd row. The boot is small with the 3rd row of seats up with just 140 litres it could only manage a small shop maybe, but the seats all fold flat to create a good load space. There is also an air conditioned glove box and cargo net style pouches for extra storage.
