Nissan X-Trail Review
The Nissan X-Trail has a wide appeal. Being one of the best
family 4x4s around, aswell as a great 4 wheel drive capability the
X-Trail is suitable for many people. The X-Trail has an excellent
driving position, where the seat can be adjusted in a number of
directions, and the steering wheel is multifunctioning. The
passenger seats are decent, but could have more room, but the
panoramic sun roof makes the vehicle feel bright and airy and sound
is minimal from wind, road and engine noise. The dash is laid out
well, and easy to use. There is plenty of storage space throughout
the vehicle, a large box in the middle of the dash, a large glove
box, seat-back pockets and chilled cup holders. The boot space is
large and useful. The rear seats fold flat and split 40/20/40 to
make an exceptionally large space for carrying big boxes. There is
also a double-deck floor with pull-out drawers which can be 
subdivided for keeping valuables safely out of view
or to keep the cabin tidy. The back is made from a wipe clean
material, which is ideal for muddy boots. The Nissan X-Trail copes
well with a variety of different driving conditions. With well
weighted steering and a hill start assistance feature general
driving is made easy. There is excellent body control and plenty of
grip on the vehicle. The X-Trail has a system called 'All Mode
4x4', where the driver doesn't need to worry about low ratio
gearboxes, all you need to do is leave it in 'auto' setting and the
car will do the rest. All X-Trails have Bluetooth connectivity,
ideal for using a phone hands free through the stereo speakers and
microphone, and climate control. Safety in the Nissan X-Trail is
good, it scored 4 stars out of 5 in the official Euro NCAP crash
tests and standard safety equipment for the vehicle include ABS,
Electronic brake force distribution, dual front, side and curtain
airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners.
