The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a combination of a compact hatchback and a rugged all road vehicle which has ended up to be a small estate with added versatility. The Urban Cruiser has distinctive styling and a chunky profile and like all Toyotas, superbly built and very reliable. Although the Urban Cruiser is a small car, the rear space is impressive with good head room and decent leg room. The seats in the Urban Cruiser aren't particularly comfortable as they lack support but generally there is a smooth ride with minimal wind and road noise. The rear privacy glass is good but can make make the inside feel dull. The controls in the Urban Cruiser are well laid out and easy to use. Visibility forwards is good but the pillars in the back restrict rear visibility. The car has a superb build quality and materials used feel upmarket. Steering is easy, the clutch is light and the gear change is slick making an easy drive. The boot space in the Urban Cruiser is 314 litres which isn't bad but it is narrow and has a high lip which makes loading and unloading awkward. The rear seats recline, slide forwards and fold although not flat but this still boosts space up to 750 litres. There are also rear door pocket bottle holders, cup holders and upper and lower glovebox.
