The Honda HR-V is a vehicle aimed at young buyers who want something a bit different. With only a 1.6 VTEC engine available, the HR-V can feel a little rough under pressure but can reach 0-60mph in just over 10 seconds which can leave the engine sounding a little noisy, especially when combined with the sound of motorway wind. This doesn't exactly promote a relaxing ride but at the end of the day, the HR-V does the job. Steering is direct and controls light for the vehicle, with a smooth ride on the majority of roads and the rough and ragged back roads being the ones to catch the HR-V out. There is not much room in the back of the vehicle but sit in the front and you'll have plenty of head and leg room. The interior is solidly built with a simple and clear layout with all the main controls within arms distance of the driver. The driving position is commanding and the height adjusting steering wheel helps make things comfortable. The HR-V has an average boot space of 285 litres which will be enough for your everyday family needs. The rear seats fold flat to expand this and there are also cubby areas about for your smaller items. The Honda HR-V comes as standard with electric door mirrors, an immobiliser, twin airbags and ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution.
